Mandoon Estate Cabernet Merlot is sourced from the winery's low yielding Research Station Vineyard in Margaret River.
The site was previously the Bramley Research Station, originally planted in 1976 by the Western Australia Department of Agriculture for viticultural research.
The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot fruit is handpicked, crushed and open fermented. After two weeks on skins the wine is pressed for maturation in French oak.
Deep crimson, Mandoon Estate Cabernet Merlot has soft yet rich fruit character with fine oak tannins and a persistent finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
